Quickstart

Track a flight in under a minute.

Choose the web application or Telegram. Link them later for one shared account and the same date-specific flights in both places.

Follow a flight on the web

The web application gives every dated flight—standalone or grouped into a trip—one place in a chronological timeline.

01

Open the application

Visit app.flightdan.com and sign in with Google when prompted.

02

Find the flight

Enter a designator such as BA249, or use an airline name such as British Airways 249.

03

Choose its place

Confirm today, tomorrow, or a specific operating date. Keep the flight standalone or select an optional trip.

04

Follow the timeline

The flight appears under Live, Upcoming, or Past. Open its card for the latest reported schedule, gate, delay, and status.

Paste a booking itinerary

If your confirmation contains several flights, you do not need to enter each one manually.

01

Copy the confirmation

Copy the flight section of the email, message, or booking page, including flight numbers and dates.

02

Paste into Add flight

Paste the multi-line text into the flight field. FlightDan detects that it is an itinerary and extracts candidate flights.

03

Review what was found

Check the designators, operating dates, and routes. Deselect anything you do not want to track.

04

Choose how to save it

Follow the selected flights into the main timeline, or create a named trip from those same tracked-flight records.

Install the app on your device

The web application is a progressive web app, so you can install it straight from the browser—no app store required. Installing gives you a home-screen icon, a full-screen window without browser chrome, faster launches, an offline-ready shell, and browser push alerts. It stays signed in and in sync with your account.

iPhone & iPad

  1. Open app.flightdan.com in Safari.
  2. Tap the Share button.
  3. Choose Add to Home Screen, then tap Add.

Android

  1. Open app.flightdan.com in Chrome.
  2. Tap the menu, or the install prompt if it appears.
  3. Choose Install app (or Add to Home screen).

Desktop

  1. Open app.flightdan.com in Chrome or Edge.
  2. Click the install icon in the address bar.
  3. Confirm Install to launch it in its own window.
Installing just wraps the same web application in a standalone window. Your unified flight timeline, optional trip groups, and Telegram connection carry over automatically, and updates arrive the next time you open it.
Want alerts without Telegram? After you follow a flight, FlightDan asks to turn on browser notifications, then messages you when the reported status changes—delays, gate changes, boarding, departure, and arrival. On iPhone and iPad this only works from the installed app: add FlightDan to your Home Screen first, since Apple delivers web push to installed apps only.

Follow a flight in Telegram

The bot uses the same dated-flight model and is optimized for quick commands and automatic notifications.

01

Start the bot

Open @flightdan_bot and press Start.

02

Send the flight and date

Send BA249 tomorrow, British Airways 249 18.07, or use /follow BA249. Without a date, FlightDan selects the nearest occurrence and confirms it.

03

Review your timeline

Use /following to see dated flights grouped by trip, then select the inline Status button for a live view.

04

Stop following

Use the Unfollow button for the exact dated flight when you no longer need updates.

There is no separate status-check command. Sending a flight starts following it; live status is opened from the Status button under /following.

Group and share a trip

A trip is an optional group around the same dated flights already shown in your main timeline.

01

Create the trip

Choose New trip, give it a recognizable name, and say who is traveling.

02

Place flights inside it

Select the trip while following a new flight, move an existing flight into it, or create the trip directly from a pasted itinerary.

03

Review publication state

Flights far in the future may initially use a clearly marked provisional schedule. FlightDan keeps checking until live data is published.

04

Share one link

Use Share trip to create a public, read-only itinerary link for friends and family. Individual dated flights can be shared too.

Connect the web and Telegram

Linking gives your Google web account and Telegram identity one shared FlightDan account.

01

Start from the web

Sign in, choose Connect Telegram, and open the generated bot link.

02

Or start in Telegram

Use /connect and open the generated FlightDan web link.

03

Complete the other side

Follow the prompt in the destination. Existing followed flights are migrated to the linked account.

How to read flight status

FlightDan reports data supplied by the configured flight-data provider. Estimated times, terminal information, and delay values can be missing or change as the operating day approaches.

For boarding decisions, connections, and airport travel, always confirm critical information with the operating airline or airport.
Ready when you are

Follow the right date. See the whole journey in one place.

Free to use today. Start with one flight or paste the itinerary, then choose browser or Telegram alerts.
